Joey Chancey
Director of Music
Joey Chancey, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, began his musical journey at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at the age of eight playing guitar for his school mass. Several years later, he began playing the piano and would also accompany Sunday mass. He would later move on to directing one of the Sunday choirs in high school. Growing up in a vibrant music ministry, he learned the importance and the incredible influence a community can have on oneself, the participating members and the church it serves.
Joey Rodriguez
Music Administrator
Joey Rodriguez, a native Texan, has been a part of the Catholic choral community since birth. Joey was raised in a musical family with two parents who, through example, showed him at an early age the meaning of service in the church. Growing up in the choir loft every Wednesday and Sunday, Joey felt at home with the Catholic classics or the latest church hymns and tunes, as if listening to the radio waiting for the “familiar” and the “new”. Decades later, he is proud to continue his family’s tradition and love of music ministry.
Joey Rodriguez graduated from Texas Tech University with a vocal performance degree and over the years has studied voice under Karl Dent, Sue Arnold, and Dr. Rebecca Hays. Being a “Joey of all Trades”, he has worked as a singer, dancer, musical director and choreographer for a plethora of different projects. Some of his New York work includes The Fairy Queen (Lysander) with Gramercy Opera, and Don Giovanni (Masetto) with the New York Lyric Opera Theater. Most recently, Joey has performed with the Berlin Opera Academy in Die Fledermaus (Dr. Falke), as well as a smattering of Texas performances last year including Rent (Tom Collins), Romeo & Juliet (Lord Capulet), Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King), Curse of the Zombie Prom (Moritmer), and Ballet Lubbock’s The Nutcracker (Drosselmeyer); just to name a few. Joey Rodriguez is thrilled and overjoyed to be back “home”, here at St. Paul the Apostle, singing with his friends and family once again, experiencing the old familiar and ready for the something new.

Adam Jones
Resident Orchestrator
Born and raised in Troy, NY, Adam began studying piano at the age of 5, and by 10 years old was writing and performing his own compositions. His love of creating music led him to major in Film Scoring at the Berklee College of Music, and his facility at the piano to a career as a theater music director on tour and at various theaters throughout the country. Adam finally settled in Los Angeles where he primarily works as a film composer and orchestrator, as well as music director of the 5pm ensemble at St. Paul the Apostle, LA.
