Here is what to do:
- Select an ornament for each basket you are going to bring in and remember to return the basket with it attached to the top of the basket (on the outside); ornaments can be found at the back of the church starting in March.
- Either make a basket or buy a basket (Duane Reade, CVS, Target, Costco, etc.).
- Make sure all items in the basket are age-appropriate.
- Please do not include any homemade food items or homemade Easter eggs!
- A great extra for teens is gift cards like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Apple, Best Buy, Target, Modell’s, McDonald’s, places kids like to shop. Other ideas are brand new toiletries, socks, water bottles, costume jewelry, nail polish, make-up, micro umbrellas, and sports related items.
- Make sure the basket is sealed with cellophane!
- Return the basket on Palm Sunday at any mass so the baskets can be blessed. Palm Sunday is March 29th. Bring the whole family for the blessing of the baskets after each mass and have your phone cameras ready — it is AMAZING!
