St. Paul Traditional Choir

The St. Paul Choir is the principal choir for the Church of St. Paul the Apostle. It leads the congregation weekly at Sunday 10:00 AM Masses from September through June. In addition, they provide musical leadership and inspiration For Holy Week, Ordination and Christmas Eve Concert and Midnight Mass.
The choir is comprised of approximately thirty-five volunteer members from all ages and musical backgrounds. Each week the choir sings a special choral meditation after communion. The selections cover a broad range of styles while generally more traditional classical music it will also include spiritual and more contemporary works.
All are welcome to audition for the choir.

The St. Paul Young Adult Choir & Ensemble serves as the resident liturgical choir of the 5:00 PM Sunday Mass at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, the mother Church of the Paulist Fathers.
We are a diverse group of over 60 adults living in the greater New York City area, coming from a multitude of backgrounds dash although some of us are professionals in the music and theater industries, many of others are in finance, fashion, law, technology, science and education.
The choir is led by Broadway conductor Joey Chancey. He incorporates a fusion of musical styles in four-part harmony including post Vatican II compositions, temporary Catholic repertoire, traditional hymns, gospel, folk, Irish, African, and pop to enhance the liturgy with a diverse and inspiring musical selection.
We Come together because of the common joy we find in music and shared commitment to sharing this joy every Sunday.

Multi-Cultural, Rhythmic and Uplifting
The Coro Hispano Serves as music ministers for the Church of St Paul the Apostle’s Spanish liturgy at 12:30 PM on Sundays. The group is a volunteer choir whose members’ diversity also represents the varying cultural backgrounds that comprise our parishes Hispanic heritage.
In addition to leading worship throughout the regular liturgical seasons, the Coro Hispano also participates in special patronal feasts significant to our Latino congregation, occasionally joined by guest musicians. The most notable of these is the annual celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, when the Coro is joined by a Mariachi band for the Mass.
St. Paul Chamber Choir

A cappella, Early Music & Motets
The St. Paul Chamber Choir is a select group of twelve to fifteen professional singers. The members of this group are selected from the active membership of the St. Paul Choir and the Young Adult Choir.
The Chamber Choir provides sacred choral music for special feast days as well as Christmas and Holy Week.
The repertoire for this group is primarily early a cappella works including Byrd, Hassler, Monteverdi and the like. Occasionally, this ensemble sings for funerals, weddings and special Masses.
